A former engineer with a passion for innovation, Gus relates to and understands the ambitions of inventors whilst being able to assist on both the technical and commercial aspects of intellectual property.

With tertiary qualifications in engineering, microbiology and intellectual property law, coupled with substantial experience as a Patent Attorney, Gus is well-placed to mentor start-ups in the engineering and ICT fields. In addition to drafting and prosecuting patents for start-ups in Australia and overseas, Gus’ current practice at MinterEllison extends to handling patent litigation matters at the Federal Court of Australia and patent opposition matters at IP Australia in the engineering and ICT fields.
