Streamed-live into homes across Australia, and beyond, for the very first time.
We come together to celebrate the 10 teams who’ve been selected to be part of our 2020 cohort, who tonight will present their successful startup pitches as part of a one-show, and then join you for a live Q & A providing the chance to chat to the Founders.
The Launch marks the beginning of their five month MAP journey where they will receive mentoring from some of Australia’s most brilliant business minds, as well as 20k (equity-free funding), office space, and many other benefits all designed to help accelerate their growth.
Building a support network around them from the very beginning is critically important which is why we’re so grateful to have you all with us tonight.
Let us show you around.
Lovely to see you, you’ve found your way to Melbourne Connect's Superfloor and our concierge service.
Now let me walk you through what’s happening tonight and provide you with everything you need to find your way around.
Let's start with the agenda below.
We’ve secured the largest event space on the superfloor for tonight’s one-hour TV show, and ensured you’ve got the best seats in the house.
Tonight’s show is all about introducing the 10 teams selected to be part of our 2020 cohort, and who’ll present their successful pitches from the Ticker studio. They’ll be joined by special guests, including our Vice-Chancellor Professor Duncan Maskell and our very own Georgia McDonald as your host, as well as Jordyn Evans, Jeremy Kraybill, and Simon Murphy coming to you LIVE from the green room.
Three-floors of Melbourne Connect will be dedicated to the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre (MEC), where you’ll find many of Australia’s most brilliant emerging entrepreneurial minds in this space including the Founders who are part of our 2020 cohort.
Take the chance to learn more about their journeys and the startups they are building.
The perfect place to meet the Founders and take part in our live Q & A session straight after the show.
Choose from the rooms below to chat to these teams, and find out what it was like pitching knowing thousands of people were watching at home.
These rooms will open after 6.45 tonight.
You can’t miss this dedicated collaboration space that connects the Melbourne Connect community. Tonight this is where we’ll all be gathering, in a space perfect for creating connection, conversation, and all the chatter and banter as we come together to celebrate the Founders who are the stars of the show tonight.
A maker space to quickly and accurately prototype and test early concepts to drive ground-breaking innovation, tonight we’ll be using this to host a speed-networking session after the show.
Whilst we’ll be surrounded by 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, soldering irons, and power tools, we won’t need any of those. It will purely be about creating new connections, and meeting as many new people as possible, you’ll find your way there from the welcome desk.
When we considered the perfect place to hold this year’s event, every option in the world was available and simply open to our imagination, but we knew there was only one place we wanted this event to be.
In 2021, the Melbourne Accelerator Program will be moving to a new home.
A purpose-built innovation precinct that will bring together the University of Melbourne’s world-leading researchers, businesses, startups, and the most brilliant emerging entrepreneurial minds in a bold-new project, Melbourne Connect.
Tonight we will take you on an adventure exploring different spaces within the precinct, through areas where you can meet the Founders, connect with curious minds, speed-network with others in the startup ecosystem, and most importantly secure the best seat in the house to watch this year’s Founders present their pitches as part of the one-hour interactive TV show.
To find your way around the welcome desk is the best place to start.
